Fashion Diva

The other day when I was at the mall while I was shopping in Urban Outfitters I walked past a girl in her mid twenties shopping and boy was she a fashion diva. I knew that Urban Outfitters would have been the perfect place to find a diva because so many different people visit the store and everyone in there always has there own eclectic style that I always take notice of. I immediately noticed her because I thought that her outfit was so cute and just right for a day of shopping. She was not too over dresses but not too under dressed either her outfit was just perfect for the occasion. She had on a short coral linen dress that had little white buttons going up the front and a white crochet looking shrug to go over the dress to complete the look. Her sandals were to die for they were very colorful and beaded but also comfortable looking at the same time. The girl’s accessories were perfect as well she was sporting all the latest trends in mixing gold and silver and also layering necklaces. The last thing that I loved about the outfit was her watch it was big and gaudy in true fashionista style. For all you girls out there this is the perfect way to go to be causal and cute at the same time.

Who ever said that wearing pajamas outside the house was okay?
Last Sunday I went to the mall just to do a little browsing around and as I was walking through the mall there was a women that looked as if she had literately just rolled out of bed. As I passed her she immediately caught my attention because she stood out but in all the wrong ways. Just to describe her outfit to get an image she was wearing flannel cloud pajama pants that looked as if they were two sizes to big with a dingy Nascar t-shirt that she had worn it till it was paper thin and not white anymore but a dull tan. As my eye wondered down to here feet I saw that she had on the norm flip flop and as far as her hair she had it pulled back and no makeup on. This look is okay for the house were no one is around but as far as going out in public it is not acceptable. This is definitely one of the top fashion don'ts!!! Pajamas are not faltering in any way shape or form and wearing them in public makes me question how much some one cares about their appearance. Never wear pajamas in public because you never know who you will meet and what people are saying about you!!!

Michelle Obama a Fashion Diva

Michelle Obama is starting to become a fashion icon following in footsteps of Jackie Kennedy. Both of these first ladies were very young entering the white house and most Americans were not used to that.
During this summer there has been some controversy about Michelle Obama wearing short coming back from a summer vacation. Many people thought that is raised some red flags because there has never been a first lady to wear shorts out in public coming off the Air Force One. Is this right or wrong? Ms. Obama has caused several controversies over fashion choices since the beginning of her reign staring with her dress at the inaugurations. There was such a hipe about which deisgner she was going to be wearing and what the dress looked like it over powered the actual celebration.
Since she is in the public eye there is always going to be contervesy over what she is doing and what she is wearing because she is an icon. I think that it is refreshing to see a frist lady that is interested in fashion and keeps up to date with new trends and designers. I think that her outfits choices have been apporperate for the time and place that she is at of course she is going to be wearing shorts it is july in the summer who wouldn't. Even though she is the first lday she is still human and should not have to be treated in differenty because of the clothes that she wears.

The event that I have chosen to go to is The WOW Party Launch release for Merle Norman's new products. The company comes out with new products every year around this time and when they launch the products they have this event with snacks and beverages that are themed around the new products. I will be working the event as well as observing the event and I will be giving make overs to different people that walk in as well as have appointments. During this event to I also have a wedding scheduled so I will be asking her different questions as well while I am doing here makeup. I think that I will get a good understanding of women and their makeup concerns. I will be asking them all types of questions about their skin and also their daily life to see what their needs are as far as their cosmetic regiment. This is free to the Public and it is going to be held at the Merle Norman in Roxboro NC.
